What happens if I don't get along with my farmer family?
In case of difficulties, you should immediately contact our coordinators in Ireland and explain your concerns. They will then talk to the family and try to find a solution. If no solution can be found and you have a valid reason for not wanting to remain with your host family, we will attempt to place you with another family free of charge, subject to availability.

We have a partner organization in Ireland with around 15 team members who constantly visit the 400 host families we work with. All host families undergo inspection, including the bedroom provided to the participant, communal areas shared with the participant, and the working environment. There is a discussion with the families to learn about their needs and expectations and to educate them on applicants' needs and expectations. The regular program fees include the placement of one farm (in the case of farm work and farm tourism internships), one horse ranch (for the horse program), or one host family (for the au pair on farms program).
If you want to be placed at more than one farm consecutively during your program participation in Ireland, this is possible for an additional fee. We charge an extra 300 EUR for the placement of a second farm and an additional 200 EUR for each placement starting from the third farm.Few readersAm I insured during my farm stay in Ireland?
The farms have liability and accident insurance for our program participants, which covers the costs if any damage occurs to you due to the fault of the farm.
However, this insurance does not cover you if the damage is caused by your own fault or if you cause damage to the farm or a third party during your stay. For this reason, it is necessary for you to take out travel insurance that covers you in case of illness, accident, and liability.

How does the booking and matching process work?
Once you have booked, we will search for a farm, horse ranch, or au pair family in Ireland for you. Upon finding a suitable match, you will receive a "placement advice" from us, containing a profile of the selected farm, horse ranch, or au pair family along with their contact details. Subsequently, you can directly communicate with the chosen host, pose any questions you may have, and decide whether to accept the placement. So far, it has been possible for all participants to ride themselves during their assignment at the horse farm.
Independent, permanent and regular riding can however not be guaranteed at any of the farms. We cannot guarantee how many hours a week you will be able to ride yourself. However, it always depends on your relationship with the hosts - if you offer your labor in a motivated and energetic way and tackle all tasks with equal care and fun, then your hosts will certainly be more flexible aFew readers
