# What is the weather like in Ecuador?

The weather in Ecuador is very diverse and depends heavily on the region. Generally, due to its location on the equator, there aren't four classic seasons, but rather a wet and a dry season. Temperatures are often constant year-round, but can vary greatly depending on the altitude.

Your placement is in the Amazon region, which has a hot, humid, and rainy climate. The project work, which is physically demanding on its own, can be challenging under these conditions. Therefore, you should be sure that you are physically fit enough to participate.
