# What are typical Working Holiday jobs in South Korea?

If you have no knowledge of Korean, the available jobs are limited to those that require foreign language (mostly English, but possibly also French, Chinese and Japanese language) skills, such as assistant to a language teacher (independent teaching is not allowed with the H1 Working Holiday Visa in South Korea), foreign language childcare, and editing foreign language texts. There are also jobs where little or no speaking is required, and for which there is a shortage of workers. This includes simple factory jobs such as assembly line work, packaging goods, loading and unloading goods, labeling products or packages, and jobs in agriculture. If you have at least basic knowledge of Korean, various jobs are possible, such as in the food and beverage industry, hotels, and shops. The better your Korean language skills, the more employment opportunities there are.
