Do I need a visa for an internship or volunteering in Malta?

Due to labour law regulations, our internships in Malta are only available to citizens of the EU (European Union) and EEA (European Economic Area).

EU and EEA citizens - for internships, volunteering and language programs - do not need a visa and don’t have any limitation in the total duration of stay in Malta.

Volunteering and English lessons are additionally possible for any nationality that does not require a visa to enter Malta, for a maximum of 90 days. This includes: Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, El Salvador, Federated States of Micronesia, Georgia, Grenada, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Macao, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Taiwan, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Vatican City, Venezuela.
